Damn Curb

This was almost exactly one year ago.
I guess it must be that time of year because I crashed badly at downers in the rain and broke my M-F ing calcaneous. For those who don't know what that is, it is your heel. I fractured it in 2 places and am having surgery on friday. It sucks and it hurts and I am out for at least 3 months. Gotta Love It.

Hekman I am sorry to hear that--that really stinks! :( We had heard you fell down but didn't know it was something that serious. and it is too bad considering how great you have been riding.

Mark. Sorry to hear this. I was hoping for the best and didn't think much about it after you looked in good spirits after the race. You are good at hiding pain. These things will happen when they happen and there is nothing we can ever do to avoid that. Heal up man. In the end you know that you have got there. -Ian

You broke your arm and then had your best year yet.
Now you broke your cancellera...you'll probably win World's next year.

Mark, i'm really sorry to hear about your crash. Prayers and get well wishes are going out to you for the surgery. If you ever want to talk rehab, let me know. I'm still working through the all ins and outs your mind and body dish out to you during a time of injury; we'll have to exchange notes. you gonna be in NC or MI?
